Not my tears, but I thought I’d failed for sure.
I loved photography, I had an adorable new baby niece… How hard could it be?
Savannah didn’t seem to mind being stuffed into a basket, but sharing a blanket with her older sister Natalie? Nope. She started wailing, tears streaming down her tiny red face. My first family session was a disaster.
Big Sis on the other hand, thought it was hilarious. Natalie, you’re not helping… I thought to myself.
But… the opposite was true. She had actually saved the day and started my photography career!
Because the crying / laughing shots were everyone’s favourites…
With my nieces help, I discovered the magic of the candid photograph - thanks to the real reactions of two tiny humans, I was hooked!
