My Newborn Session is a relaxed 'lifestyle' shoot of your family candidly hanging out in your home. Older siblings and pets are most welcome and nobody will be forced into any cheesy awkward poses!

It’s an exhausting and emotional time, but also a magical and amazing one that is SO worth capturing in photographs. And that includes YOU being in the pictures. The way that I shoot means you can just relax and be yourself, I'll be there to give simple directions the whole time.

And just in case nobody told you… babies grow insanely quickly! The perfect teeny-tiney-ness of the first couple of weeks will be over before you know it, and you’ll be endlessly glad you captured this period for all time.

One more thing. I don't take any of ‘those’ newborn pictures...

You know the ones. That means no babies in fruit bowls, no babies in hammocks, no babies magically propping their own heads up with their little hands…

Tiny brand new humans have enough on their plate just growing and eating, so I let them just be themselves — just like the rest of the you. You’re probably all exhausted so staying home and being comfortable makes perfect sense…

Yep, I only shoot Newborn sessions at your home, not in a studio. I can authentically capture you as a family more that way. And no, your house is definitely not too dark and / or messy. In fact I guarantee it’s full of magic, and that’s all we need for incredible pictures. I use all natural light, and have a fancy camera and lenses that are amazing no matter the brightness.
